We are a band with over 300 years of musical experience but more about our leader later. We were originally formed to bring Skiffle to the musically illiterate masses of Chapmanslade, a village on the Wiltshire/Somerset border. The band widened it’s horizons when invited to perform at a charity gig at Peasedown St John, near Bath and a music festival in Somerset ….. OK, not THE festival in Somerset, Summerfest at the Somerset Arms, Maiden Bradley.
No stone was left unturned to get the cream of local musicians and once he was onboard anyone was accepted who could buy their own instruments. Our current set covers Rock 'n Roll classics such as Long Tall Sally and Johnny B Goode, complemented by our own take on Rockabilly and 70s and 80s Rock. See here for our current playlist.
A Rock ‘n Roll band that will keep you dancing all night!
We play both types of music – The Rock and The Roll.
From Chuck Berry and Eddie Cochrane to early sixties such as Rock and Roll Music, Twist and Shout and Dizzy Miss Lizzie. We’ve also “Stompered” up a few other songs that we liked.
It’s not all fast and loud, well ………. I could be lying, but there is plenty to sing along to as well.
If you want music that will get your feet wandering and your hands clapping or vice versa then we are the band for you.

The name comes from a local landmark, Cley Hill on the edge of Longleat.
